Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 17, 2026

Pure Launcher (“Pure Launcher”, “us”, “we” or “our”) is an Android home screen launcher. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) governs our data collection and management practices in connection with the Pure Launcher app and related website pages that link to this Policy.

This Policy lays down relevant information regarding your rights and choices related to our data collection and management practices. You agree and accept that when you install and/or use Pure Launcher, the provisions of this Privacy Policy apply to you and that you have read and understood these provisions. You further grant us your express consent to be bound by this Policy.

Applicability

Pure Launcher is intended for users who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. We request that you do not install or use Pure Launcher if you do not satisfy this criterion. Where local law sets a different minimum age for consent to data processing, that local requirement also applies.

Data Collection

Summary: This section describes elements of data, including personal data and other data, that may be collected when you install or use Pure Launcher. Some elements are collected automatically; some may be provided by you when you communicate with us.

Personal Data refers to any data elements that either directly or in combination with other non-identifying data elements are capable of identifying an individual. Examples include:

  • Directly identifiable data elements: Name, email address, etc.
  • Non-identifying data elements: IP address, device information, advertising ID, etc.

Data we collect automatically

When you use Pure Launcher, the following may be collected or processed automatically in connection with app configuration requests and advertising (including through Google Ads):

  • IP address and related identifiers (categorised as “Identifiers” under CCPA where applicable),
  • device data such as brand and model, operating system, device settings, and similar technical information,
  • advertising ID (a unique, resettable identifier used for ad personalisation where permitted),
  • data regarding your interaction with Pure Launcher and ads (categorised as “Internet or Network Activity” under CCPA where applicable).

We anonymize information related to your IP address as soon as it is technically possible for us to do so, where we control such processing.

Additionally, we, our affiliates, service providers, and other third parties (including advertising partners) may use tracking pixels, unique identifiers, and similar technologies to measure the performance of Pure Launcher and services linked therein. To learn more, please refer to “Grounds for processing data collected” and “Data Disclosure” below.

Data processed locally on your device

To function as a launcher, Pure Launcher reads and processes certain information on your device. This information is used to display and launch apps and is stored locally as part of normal launcher operation:

  • Installed applications. Required so the launcher can list, launch, rename, hide, reorder, or organize apps (uses the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission).
  • App icons and labels. Used to render your home screen, app drawer, and related launcher UI.
  • Launcher configuration. Layout preferences, organization, and settings stored on your device.

Pure Launcher does not process notification content or notification metadata for analytics, and it does not access widget underlying content for privacy or analytics purposes.

Data you share with us

Any data element voluntarily shared when you communicate with us (for example by email), including without limitation non-identifiable data and Personal Data such as your name and email address (categorised as “Identifiers” under CCPA where applicable). We do not use, share, or disclose any Personal Data you send us for purposes other than to (i) provide the services offered by us; (ii) respond to you and, where possible, resolve your queries or fulfill your requests; and/or (iii) comply with any legal or statutory obligation(s).

Permissions and network use

Pure Launcher requests the following permissions for the stated purposes:

  • Query all packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES). Required so a launcher can see and display your installed apps.
  • Internet (INTERNET). Used to request app configuration from our servers and to serve ads through Google Ads.
